SSE-SARL
Solar panel installation

This project, carried out by SSE SARL, has already illuminated 149 out of 552 communes in Senegal. Following the observed positive impacts, a second phase has been launched, involving the installation of 118,000 solar lanterns.

Standards and Guidelines
The project must adhere to and consider relevant standards and guidelines related to discharges and emissions, both nationally and internationally. This includes standards for air quality, noise emissions, and wastewater discharges, relying on guidelines from organizations such as the WHO and the IFC when Senegalese standards are insufficient.

The solar panel project in Senegal aims to install 50,000 solar lanterns to enhance public lighting, reduce energy costs for local communities, improve mobility, and strengthen public safety.
